Ah, a boy and his dog. Is any theme in literature more heart warming? In this case the only thing being warmed are the jaws of Hell. This tale comes from House of Mystery No. 232, June 1975. Artwork is by Ruben Yandoc (Rubeny) another of DC's fine stable of Filipino artists that did such impressive work throughout the 1970s. Jack Oleck supplied the script.

Art of Gerry Talaok - Weird War Tales, 1974
This brisk four-pager, "The Phantom Bowmen of Crecy," comes from Weird War Tales No. 29 Sept. 1974. The script was handled by Jack Oleck, with art by Gerry Talaoc. I've always loved the stuff Talaoc did for this title and Star Spangled War Stories. He has a near cartoony style at times, yet in a single panel he can capture the smoking panorama of a war-field.
